Lea travels with her musicians sharing the Bhakti Yoga & devotional song mantras from her music CD’s, Zen Voyage and latest album, “Peace Chants”.
With a voice that has been described as “spiritually rewarding, soothing and mystifying, and holding a Bachelor of Jazz studies, you can hear some of her jazzy influence in her voice and kirtans. But this singer/songwriter is no stranger to other musical genres as she has successfully placed most of her songs from one of her previous album, “Miserably Happy” in various popular movies and TV shows as “Cheaper By The Dozen”, “She Drives me Crazy”, “Dawson’s Creek”, “Party Of Five”, “Summerland”, Felicity”, “North Shore, and many more. In 2006, Lea travels to India for a yoga retreat and discovers music mantras while chanting with true chanting masters and at that very remarkable and unforgettable moment, she decides to pursue yoga and “ Chanting” to a more profound level. Upon her return, Lea becomes a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor and begins teaching mantra meditation to deepen her yoga practice and musical expression. Alongside Kundalini, Lea also practices Nada Yoga which is considered the YOGA of Sound. Nada Yoga is the “easy meditation” as she puts it and students always find it easier as a beginner ‘s introduction to meditation. She started the Montreal Kirtan Community called “Montreal Kirtan” where she offers monthly Nada Yoga in various studios around Montreal. You can register for her Kirtans at www.montrealkirtan.com. On occasion, she will also teach YOGA VOICE workshops which aims at releasing your voice through the different breathing and voice techniques.
