NEW this year:

  • Karma room yoga classes and musical performances (pay-what-you-can classes and $ goes to fund YFM)
  • Marketplace free/open to the public
  • Family yoga classes on June 6th
  • Teachers’ stream/advanced classes on June 7th

The festival is a three-day, open to all, experience of yoga in its many forms: asana (the poses we’re all familiar with), music, deep relaxation and philosophy. Boasting an entirely local lineup of 56 presenters, it includes over 50 hours of workshops, discussions, lectures, dancing and more.

Karma yoga (yoga offered on a donation basis to increase accessibility) is a major addition to our programming this year! Everyone is invited to come out and try a shorter class, be initiated to yoga music and chanting and support Montreal teachers.

We believe that yoga, and this festival, should be accessible to everyone from all socioeconomic backgrounds,” said YFM co-founder, Nadia Stevens.

This is a perfect time to come try yoga for the first time and to meet new and more experienced teachers from all over Montreal” adds Anne-Lisa de Forest, YFM co-founder.

Children, families and teens are also encouraged to attend and participate with a room dedicated for children and family classes on Saturday June 6th and Teen can have access to the full festival schedule at a reduced cost making it easier for all to enjoy the yoga week-end.

There will be a small marketplace with 10 local and artisanal vendors; local living and community economic development is at the heart of Yoga Festival Montréal; come out and support your community!

Yoga Festival Montréal / Festival de Yoga de Montréal is produced by Anne-Lisa de Forest, Nadia Stevens and a core team of dedicated co-ordinators and a slew of incredible volunteers. They believe that by coming together for practice, dialogue and celebration, the yoga community can plant the seeds of transformation.
